Wenchi Lai

賴文智

Managing Partner

Attorney Lai specializes in intellectual property and technology law, with a particular focus on data governance. During his academic years, when the internet was first opened to the public and nations were actively developing their National Information Infrastructure (NII), he chose intellectual property—then one of the most debated and significant areas of law—as his field of study. In 2000, he co-founded InfoShare Tech Law Offices with Attorney Ben Liu, becoming part of the first generation of “internet lawyers” in Taiwan. Throughout his practice, he has closely followed the impact of copyright, artificial intelligence, and technological advancements on legal systems, while also advising government agencies on technology-related legal issues and contributing to legislative reform discussions as an important private-sector think tank.

Guided by the principle of “preventative strategy over reactive solutions,” Attorney Lai emphasizes uncovering the root causes behind legal and business challenges to prevent repeated mistakes. He actively participates in the planning and execution of commercial activities, as well as assisting clients in accurately assessing, mitigating, and diversifying risks. For Attorney Lai, working alongside clients to learn, grow, and explore uncharted areas of business and law is the most rewarding aspect of his practice.
